Description
Small, upright, broad, deciduous ornamental tree (H 5-8 m, W 4-7 m). Bark silver-grey to grey. Crown dense, rounded to broadly dome-shaped. Branches widely spreading to slightly hanging. Young shoots silver-grey. Leaves narowly lanceolate (4-9 cm), slightly softly hairy, white-grey to grey-green. Flowers simple, cup-shaped (2,5 cm), cream white. Flowering period: April-May. Fruits tiny (2-3 cm), elongate round, green. Attracts bees, butterflies and birds. An undemanding species, normally withstands drought and urban conditoins.
