Description
Medium-sized, upright, broad, fast growing deciduous tree (H 10-15 m, W 6-8 m). Crown broadly pyramidal. Bark on young shoots bright orange-red to red, later grey, roughly fissured. Leaves lanceolate (6-10 cm), glossy, zgoraj grey to dark grey-green, underneath light blue-green. Only male flowers, in clusters, catkins (4-6 cm), grey to yellow. Flowering period: April. Male variety, produces no seeds or fruits. Very healthy, adaptable species, normally withstands urban conditions, wind, cold and heat and long-lasting flooding.
