Description
Small, upright, slow growing deciduous tree or large shrub (H 4-6 m, depands as well on grafting height, W 4-5 m). Crown broadly pyramidal to rounded. Bark on young shoots grey to olive green, later patched, grey to light brown, flaky, ornamental. Leaves broad-palmate (15-20 cm), 5-lobed, leaflets remarkable, wide, broad-pointed tips; with a slightly serrate margin, teeth short, slightly rounded; leaves at first light pink, light yellow to orange-yellow, later yellow-green to green; underneath always light green; autumn colour bright yellow. Flowers green-yellow. Flowering period: April-May. Fruits winged, in pairs (acute, almost right angle), light brown. Ripening time: September-October. Easily withstands wind, cold and salty soils, long-lived tree.
