Description
Medium-sized, upright, narrow deciduous tree (H 8-12 m, W 4-5 m). Crown columnar to narrowly ovate or funnel-shaped. Bark on young shoots brown to red-brown, later grey. Branches upright to slightly open. Leaves simple, ovate (8-12 cm), bright yellow, green-yellow to green. Flowers red-brown. Flowering period: March-April. Fruits flattened, round (1,5 cm), brown. Requires always moderately moist, deep, fertile, loose soils, also on lime. Easily withstands urban conditions and wind. Ulmus × hollandica is a cross between U. glabra and U. minor.
