Description
Dwarf, upright, slow growing, deciduous tree, conifer (H 2-2,5 m, W 1-1,5 m). Crown narrow, irregularly conical, picturesque. Branches broadly spreading, partly curved. Bark in winter remarkably red-brown. Needles (1-3 cm) in bundles of 10-30, thin, vivid green, in summer blue-green, autumn colour bright yellow to orange-yellow. Flowers not remarkable, male (yellow) and female (pink-red) flowers separated. Flowering period: April-May. Fruits cones (3-4 cm), egg-shaped, dark brown, scales flat. Attracts birds.
