Description
Very low, pillow-shaped deciduous shrub (H 0,3-0,5 m, W up to 1 m). Branches green, later light brown, thin, partly hanging to prostrate, rooting. Leaves lanceolate to narowly lanceolate (1-2 cm), dark green. Flowers pea-like (1,5 cm), gold-yellow. Flowering period: May. Fruits brown to black flat pods (2-3 cm). Attracts butterflies and bees. Needs well-drained soils, prefers to grow in poor, less fertile soils. Useful as a ground-covering shrub for planting large banks.
