Description
Medium-sized, prostrate, widely spreading evergreen shrub, conifer (H 1-1,5 m, W 2-3 m). Crown broad, flattened, dense. Branches short, broadly open to horizontal. Needles flat, linear (2-3 cm), with a rounded tip, smooth, mid to dark green, lighter beneath, with two longitudinal white bands. Flowers not remarkable. Fruits elongate cones (5-10 cm), dark blue-violet to blue-black. Grows best in deep, moderately moist soils, in places with higher air-humidity. Abies × arnoldiana is a cross between Abies koreana and A. veitchii.
