Description
Very low, pillow-shaped, dense, evergreen perennial (H 2-3 cm, W 20-30 cm). Stems thin, green, entirely prostrate. Leaves tiny (1-2 mm), broadly lanceolate to egg-shaped, dark green, smooth, glossy, in winter slightly reddish. Flowers unremarkable, tiny, green-yellow. A superb ground-covering perennial, undemanding, self-seeding. Grows well in partly sandy soils, tolerates sun and heat. Also suitable for planting between stepping stones and plates, withstands occasional foot-traffic.
