Description
Medium-sized, tuft-forming, bushy fast growing deciduous shrub (H 1-1,5 m, W up to 1,5 m). Branches green, later light brown, thin, upright to partly hanging. Leaves lanceolate to narowly lanceolate or 3-lobed (1-2 cm), dark green. Flowers pea-like (up to 2 cm), light yellow to butter yellow. Flowering period: May-June. Fruits brown to black flat pods (2-3 cm). Attracts butterflies and bees. Needs well-drained soils, prefers to grow in poor, less fertile soils. Useful as a ground-covering shrub for planting large banks.
