Description
Medium-sized, upright deciduous shrub (H 2-2,5 m, W 1,5-2 m). Crown ovate to funnel-shaped, dense. Bark dark red-brown. Leaves lanceolate (10 cm), at first coppery red, later dark green. Flowers in small, dense inflorescence, simple (1 cm), in buds red-pink, open light pink to white; intensely scented. Flowering period: February-March; eventually od October untill spring. Attracts butterflies and bees. Undemanding shrub, also suitable for smaller gardens. Viburnum × bodnantense is a cross V. farreri × V. grandiflorum.
