Description
Small, compact, slow growing deciduous shrub (H 0,2-0,4 m, W 0,4-0,6 m). Crown pillow-shaped, broad, dense. Branches open. Bark on young shoots brown, later grey. Leaves ovate (1 cm), glossy, smooth, mid to dark green. Flowers in clusters, catkins (1-1,5 cm), silver-grey to yellow. Requires always moist, a sufficiently drained, partly sandy soils. Suitable for rock-gardens. Salix × tetrapla is a cross between Salix myrsinifolia and S. phylicifolia.
