Description
Small, dense, compact semi-evergreen shrub (H 60-80 cm, W up to 120 cm). Leaves lanceolate to egg-shaped (7-11 cm), scented, dark green. Flowers star-shaped, simple (2-3 cm), with numerous anthers, gold-yellow. Flowering period: July-October. Fruits egg-shaped (up to 1 cm), dark red. Ripening time: September-November. Attracts butterflies, bees and birds. Suitable shrub for dry, sandy soils and very sunny sites. Good disease-resistance. Good for cutting. Hypericum × inodorum is a cross Hpericum androsaemum × H. hircinum.
