Description
Small, upright, broad, deciduous tree (H 6-8 m, W 6-8 m). Crown ovate to broadly spherical. Bark on young shoots grey to olive green, later patched, grey to light brown, flaky, decorative. Leaves broad-palmate (15-20 cm), 5-lobed, leaflets remarkable, wide, with broad-pointed tips; with a slightly serrate margin, teeth short, slightly rounded; leaves variegated, at first pink to light red, later green with white dots and spots, with a strong red-pink hue, underneath red-pink; autumn colour yellow to reddish. Flowers green-yellow. Flowering period: April-May. Fruits winged, in pairs (acute, almost right angle), light brown. Ripening time: September-October. Easily withstands wind and cold.
