Description
Low (up to 20 cm), densely branched deciduous perennial, spreads by rhizomes. Stems green, semi-prostrate. Leaves in whorls along stems, narowly lanceolate (2,5-5 cm), vivid green. Dry plant scents of hay. Flowers white, scented, star-shaped, small (8 mm), in terminal inflorescence, numerous. Flowering period: April-May. A superb understory ground-cover. Grows also under walnut trees.
