Description
Large, upright, broadly growing, bushy deciduous shrub, bourbon rose, shrub-rose or climbing rose (H 3-4,5 m, W 2-3 m). Branches long, upright to open, arching, almost thornless. Leaves broadly ovate (10-15 cm), pinnate, 5-lobed, smooth, light green. Flowers solitary or in small clusters, bowl-shaped (8-10 cm), semi-double, pink to bright pink; intensely scented, scent of Damask roses. Flowering period: June-September. Very popular, well-growing old rose variety. Useful as a solitary shrub or climbing rose. An older French variety (Bizot, 1868).
