Description
Small, upright, bushy deciduous shrub, shrub-rose a hybrid rugosa (H 1,2-1,5 m, W 1-1,2 m). Branches dense, upright to open, arching, thorny. Leaves broadly ovate (10-12 cm), pinnate, 5-lobed, ribbed, glossy, bright light green, autumn colour bright yellow. Flowers in clusters, bowl-shaped (8-9 cm), semi-double, cyclamen-pink to to dark lilac-pink; very fragrant. Flowering period: June-October. Fruits flattened round (2-3 cm), fleshy, orange-red. Ripening time: September-November. A very healthy, reliable shrub, well-growing, very resistant to diseases. Useful as a solitary shrub-rose. A well-acknowledged British variety (Austin, 2005), belongs to the classical English, nostalgic varieties, grows well also in half-shade and in areas with lower summer temperatures.
