Description
Large, bushy, broad deciduous climbing rose, a hybrid cluster-flowered rose, rambler (H 3-6 m, W 2-3 m), of strong vigour. Branches long, open, arching. Leaves broadly ovate (10-15 cm), pinnate, 5-lobed, smooth, glossy, light to mid green. Flowers in large inflorescence, flat bowl-shaped (3 cm), semi-double, variegated, light violet to red-violet with white spots; beautifully scented, fresh, flower-apple scent. Flowering period: June-July. Useful as a climber or as a solitary shrub-rose. An old German variety.
