Description
Medium-sized, upright, bushy deciduous shrub, an old shrub-rose, bengal-rose, chineese rose (H 1,8-2,5 m, W 1,5-2 m), of strong vigour. Branches upright to open, arching, almost thornless. Leaves broadly ovate (10-15 cm), pinnate, 5-lobed, smooth, glossy, dark green. Flowers in clusters, bowl-shaped to round (8 cm), double, light pink, cyclamen pink to dark lilac-pink; intensely scented. Flowering period: June-September. A very good, very popular old variety (y. 1922). Well resistant to diseases, grows well also in half-shade. Useful as a solitary shrub-rose or a semi-climber; good for cutting.
