Description
Small, upright, bushy deciduous shrub, shrub-rose, a hybrid rugosa (H 1-1,3 m, W 1-1,5 m). Branches upright to open, arching. Leaves broadly ovate (10-12 cm), pinnate, 5-lobed, ribbed, glossy, vivid green. Flowers in loose clusters, bowl-shaped (8-10 cm), semi-double, light red-violet to pink-violet; intensely scented. Flowering period: June-September, freely flowering in beginning of summer, later reblooming. Fruits flattened round (2-3 cm), orange-red to red, ornamental. Attracts butterflies, bees and birds. Well resistant to diseases, very good, well-growing, recognized variety. Useful as a solitary shrub or a larger bed-rose. An older Swedish variety.
