Description
Large, upright deciduous climber, lage-flowered climbing rose, rambler (H 4-5 m, W 2-3 m), of strong vigour. Branches long, open, arching. Leaves broadly ovate (10-15 cm), pinnate, 5-lobed, smooth, glossy, mid green. Flowers in loose clusters, rosette-formed (10-11 cm), double, dark red; intensely scented. Flowering period: June-September. Well resistant to diseases, a very good, popular, a recent French variety. Good for cutting. Belongs to the classical English, nostalgic varieties, grows well also in half-shade and in areas with lower summer temperatures.
