Description
Large, upright, broad, fast growing deciduous tree (H 15-20 m, W 9-12 m). Crown broadly pyramidal to rounded. Bark on young shoots dark red, later grey. Leaves palmate (7-12 cm), 3-lobed, leaflets wide, with pointed tips; with a rough, unevenly serrate margin; leaves green, underneath blue-green; autumn colour bright orange-red to bright red. Flowers female only, red, ornamental. Flowering period: April-May. Fruits winged, in pairs (moderately acute angle, wings bent slightly inward), brown-red. Ripening time: July-August. Easily withstands cold and occasional flooding.
