Description
Large, upright, broad, fast growing deciduous tree (H 14-18 m, W 7-10 m). Crown broadly ovate to rounded, dense, regular. Bark on young shoots dark red, later grey. Leaves palmate (6-10 cm), 3-lobed, leaflets wide, with pointed tips; with a rough, unevenly serrate margin; leaves green; autumn colour bright orange to dark red. Male and female flowers on separate plants, dioecious plant; female flowers red, ornamental. Flowering period: April-May. Fruits winged, in pairs (moderately acute angle, wings bent slightly inward), brown-red. Ripening time: July-August. Easily withstands cold and occasional flooding.
