Description
Reliable, semi-evergreen ground-covering perennial (20-30 cm), spreads by rhizomes. Leaves light green with remarkably darker veins, in spring and autumn partly bronze red; on long upright stems, lobed, segmenti elongate heart-shaped, large, up to 3-5 cm. Flowers tiny, numerous, above the leaves, bright pink red, center lighter. April-May. Epimedium rubrum is a cross between Epimedium alpinum and E. grandiflorum.
