Description
Large, upright, bushy, moderately growing deciduous shrub or small tree (H 3-4 m, W 3-4 m). Branches upright to arching. Bark roughly fissured, light brown-grey. Leaves deeply pinnately compound (20-25 cm), soft, smooth, margin distinctly deeply serrate; at first light yellow, later green-yellow to light green. Flowers in upright racemes (up to 10 cm), simple (0,3 cm), greenish-yellow. Flowering period: April-May. Fruits globose (0,5 cm), fleshy, juicy, bright red. Ripening time: August-September. Attracts butterflies, bees and birds. Undemanding, well-growing shrub. Requires soils with little or no lime.
