Description
Large, bushy, fast growing deciduous shrub (H 3-4 m, W 2,5-3 m). Branches upright to open, densely branched. Leaves broadly ovate (6-8 cm), smooth, light to mid green. Flowers in rich, upright panicles, star-shaped (0,5 cm), flower buds pale pink to white, open flowers white, scented. Flowering period: May. Undemanding, healthy and well-growing shrub. Grows best in fertile, humus-rich soils in sun. Good for cutting. Syringa josiflexa is a cross between S. josikaea and S. reflexa.
