Description
Medium-sized, bushy, clump-forming deciduous perennial (H 70-90 cm, W up to 70 cm). Stems woody at the base. Leaves with long petioles, upright to arching, pinnately compound (25-50 cm), glossy, at first dark red to pink-red, later dark green. Flowers semi-double (up to 17 cm), cup-shaped, yellow, with red spots in center, delicately scented. Flowering period: May-June. Undemanding, long-lived perennial, good for cutting. Variety with a very good yellow flower-colour, one of the first to exist in Itoh gruop. Itoh peonies are hybrids between tree peonies and herbaceous peonies.
