Description
Medium-sized, bushy, clump-forming deciduous perennial (H 70-90 cm, W up to 70 cm). Leaves with long petioles, upright to arching, pinnately compound (25-50 cm), glossy, at first dark red to pink-red, later dark green. Flowers very double, almost round (up to 20 cm), bright dark red, scented. Flowering period: May, early. Undemanding, long-lived perennial, good for cutting. A recent variety, one of the best amongst redflowering herbaceous peonies. The variety is a cross Paeonia lactiflora × P. officinalis.
