Description
Medium-sized, bushy, clump-forming deciduous perennial (H 90-110 cm, W up to 80 cm). Leaves with long petioles, upright to arching, pinnately compound (25-50 cm), glossy, at first dark red to pink-red, later dark green. Flowers double (up to 18 cm), cup-shaped, bright red to dark red, scented. Flowering period: May-June. Undemanding, long-lived perennial, good for cutting. Oustanding yellow shade, excellent flower-shape and very large, firm, double flowers. The last one to flower among red-flowered herbaceous peonies. The variety is a cross Paeonia officinalis × P. lactiflora.
