Description
Small, bushy, clump-forming deciduous perennial (H 50-60 cm, W up to 60 cm). Stems woody at the base. Leaves with long petioles, upright to arching, pinnately compound (25-50 cm), glossy, at first dark red to pink-red, later dark green. Flowers semi-double (up to 15 cm), cup-shaped, light yellow, scented. Flowering period: May-June. Undemanding, long-lived perennial, good for cutting. Cross Paeonia 'Alice Harding' (lesnata) × P. lactiflora. Itoh peonies are hybrids between tree peonies and herbaceous peonies.
