Description
Medium-sized, bushy, clump-forming deciduous perennial (H 60-70 cm, W up to 80 cm). Stems woody at the base. Leaves with long petioles, upright to arching, pinnately compound (25-50 cm), glossy, at first dark red to pink-red, later dark green. Flowers semi-double (15-20 cm), cup-shaped, lemon to bright yellow, center bright red-pink; durable. Flowering period: May-June. Undemanding, long-lived perennial, good for cutting. Itoh peonies are hybrids between tree peonies and herbaceous peonies.
