Description
Small, upright, deciduous fruit-tree (H 5-8 m, W 3-4 m), of medium vigour. Leaves egg-shaped to ovate (5-8 cm), smooth, glossy, dark green, lighter beneath. Flowers simple, cup-shaped (2-3 cm), white. Flowering period: April-May, late. Fruits small, almost round to slightly elongate, yellow-green; flesh white, juicy, firm. Suitable for drying, cooking, making jams and processing. Ripening time: September-October. Storage: October-November. Attracts bees, butterflies and birds. Requires fertile, moderately moist, well-drained soils, in warm sites. Easily withstands winter cold, drought and urban conditoins.
