Description
Small, upright, broad, deciduous fruit-tree (H 5-8 m, W 4-6 m). Leaves narrow, elongate lanceolate (5-15 cm), light to mid green. Flowers simple (2-3 cm), light pink. Flowering period: March-April. Fruits globose (4-8 cm), softly hairy, fleshy, juicy,with a hard seed, light yellow, partly red to violet-red. Ripening time: July-August. Attracts butterflies, bees and birds. Requires sunny, warm sites, Full name: Prunus persica var. vulgaris.
