Description
Large, upright, slow growing evergreen shrub, conifer (H 3-5 m, W 2-3 m). Crown dense, broadly conical. Branches short, densely branched. Needles densely arranged, scalelike, romboid to egg-shaped (0,3-0,7 cm), leathery, glossy, young needles bright yellow, later mid green, in winter yellow to coppery red. Flowers and fruits not remarkable. Undemanding, long-lived plant. Needs a lot of warmth, prefers to grow in sheltered sites. Easily withstands urban conditions, heat and summer drought.
