Description
Large, widely spreading ornamental shrub (up to 10 m), broad up to 7 m, eventually grows into a small tree, often multi-stemmed. Branches slightly hanging, densely branched, eventually thorny. Leaves narrow-lanceolate, up to 8 cm long, light grey-green, dense softly hairy. Flowers numerous, small, bright yellow in pleasantly scented. May-June. Fruits to 1 cm large, oval, orange or reddish with grey bloom, edible only when fully ripe, otherwise trpki. To be used fresh or processed. Fruits attract birds.
