Description
Small, upright, slow growing deciduous tree (H 8-10 m, W 4-5 m). Crown evenly rounded, very dense. Leaves broad-palmate (15 cm), 5-7-lobed, leaflets remarkable, wide, with narrowly pointed tips; with a rough, sharply serrate margin; leaves at first bright violet-red, later very dark red-violet to black-red, autumn colour orange to reddish. Flowers green-yellow. Flowering period: April-May. Fruits winged, in pairs (very obtuse, almost straight angle), light brown. Ripening time: September-October. An undemanding species, normally withstands drought, wind, different types of soil and urban conditoins.
