Description
Medium-sized, upright, deciduous perennial (H 80-120 cm, W 30-40 cm). Leaves palmately compound, 5-7-lobed, smooth, slightly glossy, dark green. Flowers in large upright inflorescence, two-lipped (2 cm), dark violet-blue. Flowering period: July-August. Attracts butterflies and bees. Requires fertile, humus-rich, always moderately moist soils. The variety is a cross between A. henryi and A. cammarum.
