Description
Small, upright, broad, deciduous tree (H 4-7 m, W 5-6 m) or a large, bushy shrub. Crown broad, open. Leaves large, ovate (10-15 cm), at first reddish, later dark green. Flowers simple, cup-shaped (10-15 cm), scented, light yellow. Flowering period: April-May. The variety is a cross Magnolia acuminata × M. denudata. It grows well in deep, humus-rich, slightly acidic, well-drained and always moderately moist soils, in sunny and half shady sheltered sites.
