Description
Medium-sized, bushy, slow growing deciduous shrub (H 1,5-1,8 m, W 1-1,5 m). Branches upright to open, densely branched. Leaves broadly ovate to heart-shaped (4-7 cm), smooth, light green. Flowers in rich, upright panicles, star-shaped (0,5 cm), flower buds light pink, open flowers pale lilac-pink, scented. Flowering period: May-October. Undemanding, healthy and well-growing shrub. Grows best in fertile, humus-rich soils in sun, useful as a container-plant. Good for cutting. Variety 'Josee' is a result of crossings between Syringa patula, S. meyeri and S. microphylla.
