Description
Small, widely spreading deciduous shrub (H 0,5-0,7 m, W 1-1,5 m). Bark on young shoots light brown, for winter interest. Branches widely spreading, arching, densely arranged. Leaves broadly egg-shaped (3-4 cm), 3-lobed, with a wavy and serrate margin, underneath hairy, light to mid green, autumn colour bright yellow to brown-orange. Flowers in hanging racemes (5-6 cm) along the shoots, simple, white, scented. Flowering period: June-July. Grows best in humus-rich, fertile soils with little or no lime, normally withstands drought.
