Description
Large in widely spreading fast growing ornamental shrub (up to 5 m), to 5 m broad, eventually grows into a small tree, often multi-stemmed. Branches densely branched, thorny. Leaves oval, up to 8 cm long, at first light grey-green, later light olive green. Flowers numerous, small, light yellow and pleasantly scented. May-June. Fruits numerous, to 1 cm large, oval, light red, edible only when fully ripe, otherwise trpki. To be used fresh or processed. Fruits persist on the branches olng into winter and attract birds.
