Description
Medium-sized, upright, broad, slow growing evergreen shrub, conifer (H 2-2,5 m, W 3-4 m). Crown broadly oval, dense. Branches upright to widely spreading. Needles flat (1,5-3 cm), bent upward, dark green. Flowers unisexual, female only, green. Flowering period: March-April. Fruits ovate (0,8-1 cm), fleshy, juicy, light red. Ripening time: August-October. Very long-lived, healthy and adaptable species. Requires fertile, sufficiently drained, moderately moist soils. Easily withstands cold, wind, poor soils, urban conditions and hard pruning.
