Description
Small, pillow-shaped, evergreen perennial (H 5-10 cm, W 15-20 cm). Stems partially woody at the base, partly prostrate, softly hairy. Leaves lanceolate to ovate (0,5-1 cm), mid to dark grey-green, scented. Flowers in terminal inflorescence, numerous, two-lipped (0,4 cm), vivid red-pink, scented. Flowering period: June-July. Attracts butterflies and bees. A tough, undemanding ground-covering plant. Requires full sun, and sufficiently drained, light, partly sandy soils. Good also as a container-plant.
