Description
Large, vigorously growing deciduous fruit-plant, climber (H 5-7 m, W 5-7, depands on staking and pruning). Leaves palmate (15-25 cm), 3-5-lobed, wrinkled, with a serrate margin, bright to dark green, lighter beneath; autumn colour yellow to orange-red. Flowers in racemes, numerous, bell-shaped (0,5 cm), yellow-green. Fruits in dense, large racemes, round (1,5-2 cm), juicy, dark violet-blue, with a bloom, sweet, tasty; primarely for fresh use. Ripening time: September. Attracts butterflies, bees and birds. Suitable for smaller gardens, a very good plant for shade. An old grape-vine variety, widely grown in older times.
