Description
Small, broad, bushy, slow growing evergreen shrub, conifer (H 1,2-1,5 m, W 1,2-1,5 m). Crown broadly dome-shaped, irregular, open, picturesque. Young shoots thin, not branched, thread-like, drooping. Needles densely arranged, scalelike, egg-shaped (0,1-0,5 cm), leathery, glossy, dark green, in winter with coppery red hue. Flowers and fruits not remarkable. Undemanding, long-lived plant. Grows best in deep, always moderately moist, well-drained soils, in a site with higher air-humidity. Easily withstands pruning, wind and urban conditoins.
