Description
Small, upright, broad, compact, very slow growing evergreen shrub, conifer (H 1,2-1,5 m, W 0,6-0,8 m). Crown broadly conical to broadly ovoid, dense. Needles densely arranged, scalelike, egg-shaped (0,1-0,5 cm), leathery, glossy, young needles light yellow-green to light green, with orange hue, in winter light green with orange-red hue. Flowers and fruits not remarkable. Undemanding, long-lived plant. Grows best in deep, always moderately moist, well-drained soils, in a site with higher air-humidity. Easily withstands pruning, wind and urban conditoins.
