Description
Small, upright, bushy evergreen perennial with partially woody stems (H 50-60 cm, W 40-50 cm). Stems 4-sided (quadrangular) in cross-section,softly hairy, highly branched. Leaves broadly ovate to round egg-shaped (4-6 cm), dense softly hairy, rough, light grey to grey-green. Flowers in upright spikes, two-lipped (0,8-1 cm), light blue to light violet-blue. Flowering period: June-August, few flowers. Easily withstands heat and drought, needs well-drained, partly sandy soils and plenty of sun. Very scented leaves, outstandingly good for home culinary use and as medicinal plant.
