Description
Medium-sized, bushy, slow growing deciduous shrub (H 2-2,5 m, W 2-2,5 m). Crown broadly ovate to rounded. Leaves broadly ovate (8-12 cm), hairy, dark green, autumn colour yellow to red-orange. Flowers in dense, almost round inflorescence (12 cm), simple (1 cm), in buds light pink, open white, intensely scented. Flowering period: May-June, very freely flowering. Attracts butterflies and bees. Undemanding shrub, grows well under trees, in half-shade, prefers moist soils. Viburnum × carlcephalum is a cross V. carlesii × V. macrocephalum.
