Description
Small, broadly growing, prostrate or climbing deciduous shrub (H 0,5-1 m, W 1-2 m). Branches long, open to prostrate. Leaves broadly ovate (7-10 cm), pinnate, 5-lobed, smooth, glossy, above mid to dark green, underneath light grey-green. Flowers in loose clusters, flattened, simple, snow white, with numerous bright yellow anthers; delicately scented. Flowering period: June-September. Fruits (rose hip) elongate egg-shaped (up to 2 cm), fleshy, light red. Ripening time: September-November. Attracts butterflies, bees and birds.
