eastern cyclamen

Small deciduous perennial (H up to 5-10 cm) with tubers. Leaves with long petioles, heart-shaped (up to 3-6 cm), smooth, glossy dark green with variable light grey-green spots, underneath dark pink to violet. Flowers on upright stems, small (0,8-1,5 cm), cyclamen pink, bright pink, eventually light pink to white. Flowering period: February-March. Needs always slightly moist and humus-rich soils and some winter protection.
