Description
Large, bushy, slow growing deciduous shrub (5-7 m), eventually small, multi-stemmed tree. Growth distinctly dense, evenly broad (up to 4-6 m), side branches horizontal, slightly hanging. Leaves broad-oval, wrinkled, dark green, underneath blue-green, autumn colour bright red. Flowers green, tiny, in round inflorescence, surrounded by 4 wide bracts (up to 6 cm) light pink to bright pink. Flowering period: May-June. Fruits absent. The variety is a cross between Cornus florida and C. kousa.
